Emma Saffy Wilson
Graduating from Falmouth University in 2000, Emma discovered a fascination for working directly with natural materials, sourcing her own clay and soil.
Her playful and inquisitive approach transforms dirt, mud, and clay into collectable, textural works, often referencing childhood curiosity and rethinking the negative connotations of “earth” in Western culture.
Emma uses both throwing and hand-forming techniques, sometimes creating meditative pieces like Hikaru Dorodangos (shiny mud balls), guided by the energy she senses in the soils she gathers.
